**Salary**: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

### The Role:
As a Policy Analyst, you will play a vital role on our policy team, reporting directly to the Director of Policy and Research. This position involves conducting research and analysis on a wide range of transportation policy topics. You will collaborate with colleagues, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders to develop and lead projects, provide actionable recommendations, and elevate ongoing policy discussions.
The Policy Analyst is a creative, strategic communicator who excels at engaging with stakeholders and presenting ideas clearly. In this role, you'll be expected to:
- **Research and Writing (75%)**:
- Contribute to research products by conducting background research, collaborating with team members on writing, and editing project drafts.
- Lead research projects, from gathering data to managing timelines and coordinating regular check-ins.
- Work with various public- and private-sector databases to process, clean, and analyze data.
- Contribute to publications like the **Transportation Weekly** and assist with course development for professional development programs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop media collateral and publications.
- **External Engagement and Communications (10%)**:
- Present findings at webinars, public meetings, and courses.
- Help plan and moderate policy webinars with partners and stakeholders.
- **Network Building and Interaction (10%)**:
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local transportation policies and trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, think tanks, advocacy groups, and transportation professionals.
- **Professional Growth (5%)**:
- Participate in personal and professional development activities.

### Qualifications:
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in urban planning, economics, engineering, public policy, political science, logistics, or related fields. A Master's degree is preferred.
- **Experience**: 1-5 years of experience in transportation or a policy-oriented environment is preferred.
