About us

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Administrative Assistant to support our Family Law attorneys and ensure the smooth operation of our office. We’re a Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm office and believe in a work life balance. No billable requirements and there are no requirements to have work email on your phone.

As a Legal Administrative Assistant in Family Law, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and clients. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Client Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, answering phone calls, and managing email correspondence .
  • Scheduling: Coordinating and confirming client appointments, court dates, and meetings with opposing counsel.
  • Document Preparation: Assisting with the preparation, proofreading, and formatting of legal documents.
  • File Management: Organizing and maintaining both electronic and physical case files, ensuring that all documents are filed appropriately, and deadlines are met.
  • Court Filings: Managing e-filing and paper filing of legal documents with the court.
  • Administrative Support: Performing general office duties such as copying, scanning, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a law firm, with a preference for experience in Family Law.
  • Education: Associate’s degree or some college is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with Family Law procedures and court requirements. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. A strong sense of ownership and urgency in managing tasks and deadlines is a must.
  • Certification: NC notary is a plus.
  • Work Ethic: Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
