Beacon Dermatology is seeking an experienced and energetic  Dermatology Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C/NP)  to join our rapidly growing practice.

Job Duties

• Conducts general dermatology examinations, assessments and treatments for skin cancers, benign skin lesions, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, other dermatitis, acne, rosacea, warts and other dermatological conditions under physician supervision.
• Ensures compliance with care plans and determining appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Performs minor surgical procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, suturing, and other minor dermatologic procedures.
• Orders and interprets laboratory and pathology results and writes prescriptions.
• May also provide cosmetic services, such as injectables and laser treatments and workup, including treatment for skin tone (redness, pigmented lesions), skin texture (laser resurfacing and radio frequency micro-needling), veins, hair removal, hair restoration and laser tattoo removal.
• Prescribe and monitor patients undergoing narrowband UVB phototherapy and excimer laser therapies.
• Provide exceptional care by patient education, building close relationships with patients, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Positive, open, and flexible approach to learning new dermatology procedures.
• Accurately record patient health history in the electronic medical record system.

Requirements

• Current North Carolina licensure as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or eligible to obtain
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
• 2+ years as a PA or NP preferred
• Dermatology experience preferred
• Proficiency with medical instruments and dermatology-specific equipment
• Ability to effectively communicate with medical professionals, patients, and community representatives
• Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) to maintain licensure
