Job Title: TIG Welder - 6G

Location: Tulsa, OK

Pay Range: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:45 PM

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled TIG Welder - 6G to join our team! In this role, you will use your expertise to perform 6G welds on a variety of materials, ensuring high-quality and precise results. This is a great opportunity to work in a structured, day-shift position with competitive pay and room for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 6G TIG welding on pipes and other materials following project specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding procedures .
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning.
• Conduct quality checks to meet standards and ensure precision.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder, with 6G certification or equivalent skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and welding symbols .
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and materials.
• Commitment to safety standards and attention to detail.

* Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
* Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
* Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
* Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
* Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals.
* Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
* Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges of workpieces to solder joints, using soldering irons, gas torches, or electric-ultrasonic equipment.
* Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
* Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to be joined to ensure snug fit, using power grinders and hand tools.
* Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained.
* Align and clamp workpieces together, using rules, squares, or hand tools, or position items in fixtures, jigs, or vises.
* Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.
* Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
* Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
* Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand tools.
