Description:
Hash Technologies is looking for a Telecom Network Engineer III with CPE troubleshooting experience for our national telecommunications client. This will be a long-term month contract. Our client is located out of Englewood, CO and offers 1 remote day a week. Candidates must be local as we frequently need to physically touch hardware inside of the lab. Cable industry and lab experience is a must have.

Troubleshoots and resolves escalated Access and CPE device field issues. Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps. Establishes security, connectivity and access parameters. Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure. Tests and tunes security devices and systems. Programs routers and switches. Implements communications technologies (data or voice). Manages network services from planning phase through implementation. Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure is required. 5-10 years of experience.

-Advanced knowledge of the DOCSIS and EPON standards
-Working knowledge of CMTS platforms including:
Casa C100G
Arris E6000
Cisco cBR8
-RPHY
-Harmonic vCMTS and RPDs
-Vecima RPDs
-Working knowledge of EPON platforms including:
ADTRAN 95XX and SDX-6210
Vecima (Nokia) 7360 and Distributed Access Architecture SF-4x, SC-2D3

-Working knowledge of switch platforms including:
Cisco NCS/ASR
Juniper PTX/QFX/ACX

-Working knowledge of routing protocols including:
OSPF
ISIS
BGP
v4/v6 Multicast
-Ability to write technical documentation
-Ability to write and follow detailed technical test plans
-CPE and ONU background in trouble shooting is highly desirable
-Creative Network Trouble Shooting Skills
