Job Description

Our client, a large ecommerce company in Bellevue, WA, is looking for Sr. UX Writer for a full-time contract through EOY. The position will craft compelling, user-centric copy for our mobile applications and will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and engaging content that enhances user experiences across all touchpoints. Working closely with designers, product managers, and developers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the voice and tone of their digital products. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in B2C ecommerce and understand how to create persuasive and informative content that drives conversions while fostering brand loyalty. This role is a hybrid position and requires some onsite work in Bellevue, WA, as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Craft clear, concise, and engaging UX copy for mobile app interfaces, including buttons, error messages, tooltips, and onboarding flows.
• Collaborate with product designers, researchers, and product managers to ensure copy supports user journeys and meets business goals.
• Maintain and evolve voice and tone guidelines to ensure a consistent brand experience across all digital touchpoints.
• Conduct content audits and UX writing assessments to improve clarity, usability, and consistency.
• Partner with UX researchers to understand user needs and validate copy through testing and feedback loops.
• Write persuasive product descriptions and marketing content that seamlessly integrate into the user experience.
• Create and maintain a content style guide tailored to mobile applications and B2C ecommerce experiences.
• Analyze content performance metrics and optimize copy to improve user engagement and conversions.
• Stay current with UX writing trends, mobile app design patterns, and ecommerce best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional UX writing experience, with a strong emphasis on mobile app interfaces.
• Proven experience in B2C ecommerce environments, preferably for large-scale consumer brands or apps.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to write in a clear and user-friendly manner.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain voice and tone guidelines.
• Strong understanding of UX design principles, user-centered design, and information architecture.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and content performance optimization tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with UX tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar platforms is a plus.
