Job Title: RF/EE Engineer
This is an exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.
Summary: The Mid-level (7+ years) RF/EE Engineer shall architect, design, prototype, develop, and test complex engineering applications. Responsibilities will include technical implementation of system requirements, proof of concept software development (python, MATLAB and/or etc.), troubleshooting of a variety of difficult and complex problems.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Hardware integration and system design
* Communications system design
* Prototype and component system specification
* Use of software/algorithms to implement and troubleshoot solutions
* Test design and implementation
* Software/hardware remote field support and troubleshooting
* Customer support for troubleshooting fielded systems
* Technical consultation on multiple projects for various engineering tas
Essential Job-related skills include the following:
* Familiarity with basic Electrical, Electronic and Radio Frequency (RF) concepts.
* Able to perform engineering/scientific test, analyze data and write reports on systems under test.
* Capable of developing test plans, executing laboratory test, and build test set-ups to characterize electrical, electronic, RF and Optical circuits.
* Conversant with the use of Spectrum analyzers, Oscilloscopes, DVM's, Current Probes and Network Analyzers with S-Parameter test sets.
* Familiarity with communications analysis and metrics tools such as Wireshark and Bit Error Rate
* Experience with analyzing requirements, designing a solution to the requirements, developing and deploying a system-level response.
* Experience working with customers on their requirements, setting expectations, delivering and sustaining the solution that satisfy their requirements.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree (B. S.) or Master's Degree (M. S.) in Engineering or equivalent field from a U.S. Department of Education accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to use applications run on Microsoft Windows and Linux systems, including Microsoft Office as well as domain-specific applications run on those platforms.
Knowledge of development software including Python and database query languages such as MySQL, command-and-control software for hardware systems, and X-Midas are desired.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
