What You Need: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in project management, with preference given to experience in battery industry or automotive industry
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment with end-to-end project delivery
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience to working cross functionally
- Project skills to deliver high quality and high complexity engineered products
- Experience with project management tools and processes: Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project, etc.
- Approximately 10-25% travel domestically and internationally (mostly to China).
What Your Role Will Look Like: The
Project Manager is responsible for driving the battery cell industrialization program, including the launch of a new manufacturing facility in Byhalia, Mississippi. You will manage project schedule, track budget by coordinating across cross-functional teams and working closely with program manager(s) and various stakeholders. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet high standards for quality, remain within budget, and are completed on schedule.
Project Schedule and Cross- Functional Coordination: - Develop project schedule, including ongoing updates as necessary
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, IT, R&D, Construction, and Facilities, to maintain schedule and expose dependencies and risks
- Track program progress and budget forecast across all functional lanes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Stakeholder and Partner Management: - Communicate regularly with program stakeholders, providing updates on progress and soliciting input.
- Collaborate with program director to escalate issues to senior management
- Support program milestone review process
Risk and Dependency Management: - Maintain project risk registry, including assumptions, issues, and dependencies to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Escalate issues as necessary, keeping stakeholders informed of potential impacts.
- Support change management process through weekly meetings and approval process
