CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS
General Focus:
- Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting company business processes and operations
- Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software
- Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems
- Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems
- Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems
- At higher job levels, may contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set
- Mentorship: Establishes peer-to-peer mentoring relationships

System Administration Focus:
- Red Hat LINUX, UNIX, or Windows OS command line administration
- Commands line troubleshooting of OS and associated hardware/software
- Creates and resolves helpdesk action items
- Manages cross domain enterprise level solutions
- Provides on-site technical solutions
- Installs, moves and or breaks-down systems
- Creates detailed technical reports and metrics
- Provides detailed technical solutions
- Performs system builds
- Maintains the security and stability of cross domain solutions

- Performs Linux audit and reporting tasks
- Command level Database troubleshooting, including SQL, skills highly desirable
- Must be able to perform scheduled and unscheduled fly away support
- Ability to multi-task ins a fluid environment with shifting priorities
System Networking Focus:
- Provides technical oversight of the creation and maintenance of all networking configurations and data files
- Provides day-to-day communication/network security operation and maintenance of multiple secure network infrastructures
- Troubleshoots, develops and designs network architectures consisting of multilevel access and multilevel security platforms supporting both CONUS and OCONUS sites
- Configures, installs, and troubleshoots Cisco routers, switches, and various other network and telecommunication components
- Analyzes and determines corrective action for secure data communications networks
- Troubleshoots, creates and/or installs 10/100/1000 Base T and fiber optic wiring as needed in support of network systems
- Implements US government COMSEC standards and practices
- Programs, installs, loads, and troubleshoots KG-175 Taclane's
- Implementation of Tempest standards
- SNMPv3 network monitoring applications
- Creates/modifies Microsoft Visio network diagrams
- Adapts to changing environments and coordinate large scale implementations using available resources
- Performs work tasks as assigned
- Evaluates and reports on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance capacity, performance and reliability of the network
- Assists with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation of all communications security configuration upgrades, additions or revisions for customer approval before implementation
- Develops, maintains and analyzes network architecture designs
- Monitors key system metrics to identify trends and analysis
- Leads major project initiatives and develop configurations using expertise in routing protocols, firewalls, datacenter protocols, security requirements and network virtualization
- Designs, develops, builds, and tests network engineering solutions as part of a team that introduces new technologies and/or improves existing technologies in compliance with established project management processes
- Ensures that the solutions are fully documented and in compliance with applicable security requirements for the classification level of the system
- Provides consultation on tactical/standard IT issues
- Project Execution/Mgmt: Plans and executes project tasks
- Provides direction when required
- Translates projects requirements into detailed designs that present no impact to business operations
- Analyzes, interprets and refines requirements to assure understanding of assignment
- Monitors production environment and ensures all processes are performed
- Understands correlation and relationships between defined metrics, reviews metric results and takes corrective action
- Strong expertise in routing protocols, TCP/IP protocols, security requirements and network communications.
- Considerable expertise with network monitoring, preferable Solarwinds, reporting tools and technology expert, authority in discipline
- Strong expertise in Tier III support
- Considerable familiarity with applicable DISA, IC, and coalition security requirements documents such as STIGS
- Strong expertise with CISCO Routers, Switches, WAN Protocols (EIGRP), QOS, LAN and Data Center Protocols (Spanning -Tree, Fabric-enabled technologies)
- Considerable familiarity with DMVPN
- Intermediate configuration experience with KG-175's
- Strong experience adapting to changing environments and coordinate large scale implementations using available resources
- Strong experience with technical writing IE: SOPs, technical proposals, etc.
- Risk: Ability to effectively manage risks taken with sound logic under own initiative
- Problem Solving: Ability to break a complex problem into manageable parts and organize approach and solution in a systematic way
- Ability to identify impact of decision on other projects or departments

Combined Salary Range USD $125,866.00 - USD $136,191.00 /Yr.
