Description Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and eager-to-learn Network Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. Responsibilities: - Assist in monitoring and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and support for network issues, including connectivity problems, hardware failures, and software configurations.
- Work with senior network staff to perform routine network maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups.
- Support the implementation of network upgrades, installations, and configuration changes.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Collaborate with the healthcare IT team to ensure that network performance aligns with HIPAA compliance and security standards.
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions using ticketing systems.
- Participate in network-related projects and initiatives to improve performance and security.
- Provide end-user support for network-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to healthcare operations.
Qualifications Qualifications: - A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
- Familiarity with networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) and network protocols.
- Experience with or a willingness to learn network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- An interest in healthcare IT systems and a commitment to supporting healthcare technology in a secure and reliable manner.
Preferred (but not required): - Basic understanding of healthcare IT compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Experience or certification in networking (CompTIA Network+, Cisco, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud services and network virtualization.
