Driver/Helper

Are you a skilled Appliance Delivery Driver & Installer with handyman experience? Do you have experience driving a 26ft box truck and enjoy ensuring appliances are properly set up and functional in customers' homes?

We are looking for a highly skilled Driver/Helper to join our team for Lowe’s appliance deliveries in Cedar Rapids, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation, delivery, and installation of appliances, as well as performing basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work to guarantee appliances are correctly installed and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a 26ft box truck for deliveries.
• Inspect appliances before delivery and remove all packing materials.
• Follow the manufacturer’s installation procedures.
• Ensure secure all water, gas, electrical, and vent connections.
• Perform basic handyman tasks to ensure proper installation.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Job Requirements:

• Experience driving a 26ft box truck (Required).
• Handyman skills (basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 150 lbs with assistance.
• Prior experience in appliance delivery, moving, or installation is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures.
• Must pass a background check.
