**This is a Direct Hire role in Greenville, NC
We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) with a deep understanding of digital video workflows and post-production. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring high-quality footage, seamless data management. You’ll work closely with the camera team to take the footage from on set to working with post to start their process.
Day to Day:
- Oversee multiple servers and handle high-volume data transfers, managing hundreds of terabytes of footage monthly.
- Manage, back up, and organize media files on-set, ensuring all footage is safely stored and delivered uncorrupted to the editorial team.
- Creating detailed camera media logs.
- Transcode Media from various resolutions and camera codecs and create Proxies.
- Label and catalog hard drives and original media for seamless retrieval and archival.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-set consultation to help the camera team achieve the best possible image quality while communicating data rates, and media size expectations.
- Collaborate with the editorial and post-production teams to streamline workflows and optimize video output.
- Recover corrupted media from damaged cameras.
- Able to travel and help create a detailed carnet list for international travel.
- Stay up to date with the latest digital imaging technologies and industry trends, continuously improving processes.
- On-Site playback of any/all footage and work closely with on set editors to create Dailies.
Ideal Profile:
- 2-4 year’s experience working with digital cameras and video production equipment in a high-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in digital imaging software (DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.).
- Familiarity with either OffShoot or ShotPut Pro
- Deep understanding of video codecs, color spaces, and post-production workflows.
- Experience handling large-scale data management and archiving workflows.
- Familiarity with collaborative tools like Google Drive and Frame.io
