Job Title: Construction Administrator (CM-CA) – Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Project

Location: Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 3701 Loop Rd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404

Employment Type: Full-Time, ON-SITE

Overview:

SteerBridge Strategies, LLC, a mission-driven Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking an experienced Construction Administrator (CM-CA) to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM) . This role is part of a strategic initiative to provide professional construction support services for Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) infrastructure upgrades at the Tuscaloosa VAMC in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This position will be executed under the CFM Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract and contributes to expanding the VA’s contract management and construction oversight capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive Construction Management (CM) and Construction Administration (CA) support.
• Assist with project engineering, planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and safety compliance reviews .
• Provide oversight for contractor adherence to project specifications and assist with change management documentation .
• Perform constructability reviews and monitor construction quality assurance .
• Evaluate daily progress , review weekly/monthly reports , and support resolution of construction issues.
• Analyze change order proposals and assess schedule compliance .
• Assist in the development and maintenance of integrated master schedules.
• Foster effective communication and coordination across project stakeholders and teams .

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred; a minimum of three (3) years of relevant construction experience may substitute for formal education.
• Strong understanding of general and subcontractor operations at construction sites.
• Experience managing building construction activities aligned with quality assurance, safety, scheduling, cost control, and change management .
• Familiarity with reviewing construction documents and resolving discrepancies.
• Ability to assess construction schedules and work-in-place for compliance.
• Excellent communication and computer skills, including proficiency with construction management software .
• Must provide a professional portfolio and present three (3) relevant projects of similar size and complexity.
