Job Description: Communications Network Engineer Level II

We are looking for someone who monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, and/or evaluates hardware, software and other network related problems; provide technical expertise for performance and/or configuration of the global networks and systems. Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration. Schedules conversions and cutover. Coordinates with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. Responsible for monitoring, tracking and evaluation global information technology infrastructure ITI incidents
HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Assist customers with resolving problems to include performance and configuration
- Provide support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications e.g. LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video requirements, design and orders
- Provide in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for government agencies
- Provide interface support to telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management
- Provides telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related technical field and six (6) years work experience in a similar role. An additional six (6) years may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree, or an additional four (4) years with an Associates Degree
Required Experience: 6+ years of related experience
Required Technical Skills: Network engineering skills required, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues to resolution, along with performance and configuration recommendations
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

The likely salary range for this position is $101,150 - $136,850. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
