Associate Attorney (Complex Litigation) - Encino, CA
A premier law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Complex Litigation team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably on the plaintiff side, though defense attorneys looking to transition will also be considered. Strong written and oral advocacy skills are critical, as well as expertise in discovery and law and motion practice. The firm is looking for motivated, self-starting individuals who can manage multiple cases and get up to speed quickly. Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with clients to develop effective legal strategies for conflict resolution.
* Attend court hearings, legal proceedings, and conduct thorough legal research.
* Work closely with senior attorneys to provide sound legal counsel.
* Prepare legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
* Maintain regular communication with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure smooth case management.
* Organize and maintain case files to facilitate easy access for the legal team.
Qualifications
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with partners and colleagues to meet client needs and support firm growth.
* Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably on the plaintiff side, though defense experience will be considered.
* Active membership in good standing with the American Bar Association (ABA).
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
