YETI is looking for an Assistant Video Editor to help grow its post-production efforts internally. This person would be joining a small but experienced in-house content team, assisting cross-functional teams to bring YETI to life with engaging stories, brand videos, multimedia projects, and social media experiences.
The ideal candidate has a keen sense of the post-production workflow. This person must have strong organizational skills. They should know and understand various cameras, formats and media files, as well as how to creatively solve for challenges or iterations required in post-production. They must be efficient at managing time across multiple projects, comfortable working under pressure and consistently meeting deadlines. There will be the opportunity to edit and take ownership of various edits including but not limited to social content, stringouts, rough cuts, product walk throughs etc.
Responsibilities:
Load, proxy and breakdown footage quickly and independently
Backup and LTO new and existing footage and projects
Ensure that our DAM is up-to-date
Lead new initiatives and projects with limited supervision
Organize footage received from our brand ambassadors, other videographers, and other outside sources
Clearly communicate with Editors, Producers and Coordinators
Handle multiple projects simultaneously, and proactively prioritize work with Edit Studio lead
Export and post edits for review and final delivery
QC all posts, ensuring that they meet our high quality standards
Version out final assets, multiple aspect ratios, closed captioning etc.
Work well with existing content team
Qualifications and Attributes:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in assistant editing at an agency, post house, or brand
Ability to address notes and make edit changes when needed
Experience with all forms of video content (long form, short form video content, 30 second commercials, social vids)
High degree of attention to detail, specifically when handling multiple video projects, QC-ing, and versioning
Positive and solution-based attitude
This role must take ownership of its impact on each project and see that all details are complete thought-out
Expert-level with video editing software including Adobe Creative Suite video products (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
Experience with motion applications (After Effects & Audition) and standard design applications is a plus
Broadcast & online video formats
Comfort with autonomy and nimble team structure
Experience with original brand content and/or vertical video a plus
Experience in the outdoor industry a plus
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
