Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Bakery Manager/Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and organize the daily operations of the bakery shop. This role includes managing staff ensuring highquality customer service maintaining inventory and ensuring the bakery meets health and safety regulations. From ensuring the ontime production of highquality baked goods to creating new items with the pastry team to motivating the bakery staff to maintain high levels of service.
Duties:
Manage all aspects of the bakery including production inventory and scheduling shifts
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for baking processes
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards
Train and supervise bakery staff providing guidance and support as needed
Monitor sales trends and adjust production levels accordingly
Creates and communicates weekly sales productivity goals cake production plan and team schedules and adjusts bakery coverage based on changing business trend
Maintains handson knowledge of all bakery roles and steps in regularly to perform various responsibilities as businesses needs require
Facilitates the opening and closing of the bakery including cashdrawer balancing and bank deposits
Create and update menu offerings based on customer preferences and seasonal availability
Skills:
Proficiency in food safety practices
Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems
Strong background in restaurant or kitchen management
Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Knowledge of bakery operations equipment and techniques
Previous experience as an Assistant Manager in a bakery and coffee shop is a plus
Additional certification (e.g. Hospitality Management Pastry or ServSafe Manager) is necessary.
